Oggy comes from Oggy and the Cockroaches, the French animated comedy series that first aired in 1998, built around a blue cat constantly outwitted at home. The show uses very little dialogue, so its screams, sobs and crashes carry most of the humour. Short clips of Oggy crying and screaming were later ripped and shared on soundboards and in meme edits, where the exaggerated cartoon emotion works even without the original scene. That wordless delivery is why the sound travels easily across languages and still fits new jokes.

Funny Oggy crying sound effect from the cartoon cat, a dramatic wailing sob used for fails, sad moments and over the top reaction edits online
This is a short cartoon crying clip of Oggy, the blue cat, breaking into a loud, wobbly sob that quickly turns funny rather than sad. The wail rises and falls with exaggerated timing, making even a tiny disappointment feel like a huge disaster. Because the emotion is so big and so clearly performed, viewers instantly read it as mock heartbreak. Creators use it when a character loses, gets caught out, or reacts badly to minor bad luck, and the contrast between the small problem and the huge cry is where the joke lands.
