Listed as Yandere Laugh and credited to Starcasm Nyx, this short laugh clip has circulated on soundboards as a generic ghost girl and anime villain effect rather than a line from a specific show. Its appeal comes from the yandere trope, the sweet but obsessive character whose affection turns dangerous, which is widely recognised in anime and horror edits online. Creators reuse it as instant shorthand for that shift, dropping it into memes, fan edits and Halloween videos where a single laugh has to establish mood without any backstory or dialogue.

A creepy yandere ghost girl laugh sound effect with a high-pitched, echoing giggle, used for horror edits, jumpscares and villain anime moments.
This clip is a short, unsettling female laugh that mixes cute anime styling with a ghostly, unhinged edge. The giggle starts high and light, then stretches into a slower, echoing cackle that feels possessive and threatening rather than amused. A slight breathiness and manic lift in pitch make it read instantly as a yandere character enjoying something sinister. Played over a still face, a dark hallway or a sudden close-up, it turns an ordinary moment tense, signalling obsession, danger and a joke that only the laughing character finds funny.
