God Is appears on Kanye West's gospel album Jesus Is King, released in 2019, a record built around his Sunday Service choir performances and a move toward Christian music. The song is a straightforward declaration of faith, led by piano and choir vocals rather than rap verses, which helped it stand apart on the album. Online, it spread through faith edits, worship compilations and inspirational short videos, where its calm, praise-focused chorus is reused as a soundtrack for gratitude, church moments and personal testimony.

This clip captures the soaring chorus of God Is, where Kanye West sings over warm piano and a full gospel choir that builds with each repetition. The vocal is calm, reverent and melodic rather than shouted, giving it a peaceful, church-like warmth that stands out from his louder, more confrontational tracks. Listeners hear the repeated praise settle into a steady rhythm, creating a moment that feels hopeful and reflective. It works as a short emotional lift, turning an ordinary video into something more sincere and spiritual without needing any explanation.
