The DC-17 is a blaster pistol from the Star Wars prequel era, best known as the paired sidearms of clone Captain Rex in Star Wars: The Clone Wars animated series. Its firing sound follows the classic Star Wars blaster design, a synthesised laser zap, often imitated as pew pew, created for screen battles between clones and battle droids. As clips, games and fan films circulated online, the short pistol shot became a reusable effect detached from any one scene, now shared on soundboards for memes, edits and homemade sci-fi battles.

The DC-17 blaster pistol sound effect from Star Wars is a sharp laser shot used for clone trooper battles, sci-fi edits and game videos online.
This is the firing sound of the DC-17 blaster pistol, the twin sidearms carried by clone troopers in Star Wars. It lasts just over a second and delivers a sharp, high pitched laser blast with a quick electronic zap and a short fading tail. The shot feels clean and military rather than heavy, matching a fast hand blaster instead of a large cannon. Played over a battle scene or a toy gun moment, it instantly turns a simple movement into a sci-fi firefight and gives the action a recognisable Clone Wars energy.
