Patán is the Spanish name for Muttley, the wheezing dog sidekick of Dick Dastardly in Hanna-Barbera's Wacky Races, first broadcast in 1968, and later in Dastardly and Muttley in Their Flying Machines. His snicker became one of the most imitated cartoon laughs, instantly signalling mischief and scheming. Reruns, dubbed versions and later internet memes kept the sound alive in Spanish-speaking countries, where users search for it as patan perro risa and share it as a reaction to pranks, fails and cheeky jokes.

The snickering laugh of Patán, the mischievous dog from Wacky Races, often used in memes and reaction videos to mock a failed plan or a villain caught out.
This is Patán's famous wheezy, snorting chuckle, the high-pitched giggle that sounds like a dog trying not to burst out laughing while plotting something naughty. It starts quiet and sneaky, then builds into a rapid, raspy snicker that feels instantly cartoonish and mischievous. Hearing it immediately tells the viewer that someone is up to no good, that a joke has landed at someone else's expense, or that a clever plan is about to go wrong. It is short, instantly recognisable, and it turns an ordinary fail or prank into a classic cartoon moment.
