Blazing Saddles is a 1974 comedy western directed by Mel Brooks, starring Cleavon Little as Sheriff Bart, the first Black sheriff of Rock Ridge. In the town welcome scene Bart reaches as if to draw something scandalous, then produces his speech, turning a tense moment into a visual gag.
