At just over seven seconds, the clip gives you enough room to use the whole rough drag or trim around its strongest scrape. Download the MP3 to keep it available offline and import it directly into a soundboard or video editor. It can also work as a short ringtone or notification tone, depending on your phone’s audio settings. Because the texture is harsh and sustained, lower it when placing it beneath speech, music, or game audio so the scrape stays funny without masking everything else.

Play the Sliding Brick button, download the MP3, or set it as a ringtone for a gritty seven-second scrape that makes awkward movement hit harder.
This clip is a brief, gritty sliding brick sound that feels like a heavy block being dragged across a rough surface. It has a harsh scrape and an oddly clumsy texture, which gives scenes a low-budget, deadpan kind of comedy. Creators use it to exaggerate movement, failed entrances, awkward camera pans or objects shifting in a cursed way. Because the sound is short and blunt, it lands best as a quick punchline and makes even simple motion look heavier, dumber or more dramatic than it really is.
