Talking Ben is the grumpy retired chemistry professor dog from Outfit7's Talking Ben the Dog app, where players tap him to make him talk, eat and react. The character became a wider internet meme in the early 2020s, when short clips of his blunt answers were reused in TikTok videos, YouTube edits and reaction memes. His simple no works because it is instantly recognisable and needs no context, which is why creators still use it to deliver a quick, funny rejection in a single beat.

Talking Ben says no in a flat, grumpy voice from the Talking Ben app, a short clip used to shut down a bad idea, request or suggestion in memes and edits.
This is a very short voice clip of Talking Ben, the grumpy cartoon dog from the talking pet app, answering with a blunt no. His voice is low, slow and deliberately unimpressed, with a slight growl that makes the refusal sound final rather than angry. Because it lasts barely a second, it lands as a punchline rather than a conversation, cutting off whatever came just before it. Viewers recognise the character instantly, so the joke needs no setup: one word is enough to show disagreement, disapproval or a complete lack of enthusiasm.
