The Default Dance is the starting emote in Fortnite Battle Royale, released by Epic Games in 2017, given to every new player before they unlock or buy other dances. Because every account began with it, the music and movement quickly became shorthand for a new or default player online. Clips spread through YouTube, TikTok and gaming compilations, often edited onto characters from other games and films doing the same arm swings. It remains widely used because the tune is instantly linked to early Fortnite culture and low-skill, good-natured teasing.

Fortnite Default Dance is the upbeat electronic music from the Fortnite emote, used in memes, victory edits, gaming videos and ironic dance clips online.
The sound is the catchy electronic loop that plays while a Fortnite character performs the Default Dance, swinging the arms side to side with loose, rhythmic steps. The track is bright, bouncy and instantly recognisable, with a steady beat that makes even a stiff character model look cheerful. Viewers hear it as a joke in itself, signalling a beginner player, a playful victory or someone celebrating far more than the moment deserves. Its simplicity is the point, turning any clip into an upbeat, slightly goofy celebration.
