Pax Pox is the long running convention slang for the respiratory illness many attendees report after PAX, the Penny Arcade Expo series of gaming festivals held in crowded venues over several days. The term spread through forums, social posts and recap videos where returning players compared symptoms after the show. This short recording, credited to CrustyMustard, condenses that shared experience into a single shouted punchline. It remains popular in gaming communities because the joke needs no setup for anyone who has attended a large expo, comic convention or esports event and returned home unwell.

A short voice clip shouting Pax Pox, the slang for the illness spread at PAX gaming conventions, used as a joke after conventions and crowded events.
This clip captures a voice enthusiastically announcing the Pax Pox, the nickname gamers give to the cold or flu like sickness that seems to travel home with people after a packed convention weekend. The delivery is loud and theatrical rather than serious, turning a miserable post event illness into an inside joke. It lands because anyone who has queued in crowded halls, shared controllers and spent days around thousands of people recognises the feeling. Dropped at the right moment, it gets an instant knowing laugh from convention goers.
