The meme comes from footage of Vladimir Putin walking through the Kremlin for his 2018 inauguration, which was later stretched horizontally and reposted online in 2020. Edited versions set the walk to Song for Denise by Piano Fantasia, and the format exploded on YouTube, Reddit and TikTok as users placed the wide figure into games, films and everyday scenes. It remains popular because the walk and music are instantly recognisable, easy to recreate, and work as a shorthand for unstoppable confidence.

The wide Putin walking meme music from the viral stretched inauguration video, used for confident entrances and funny strutting edits online.
This is the looping instrumental track behind the Wide Putin meme, a bouncy synth piano melody with a steady, marching rhythm that feels both serious and absurd. It plays while a stretched, wide version of Vladimir Putin strides down a hallway toward the camera, his confident walk exaggerated to comic proportions. The contrast between the formal setting and the distorted figure makes the clip instantly funny, and the music's relentless forward momentum gives any entrance, walk, or reveal an over the top sense of importance and swagger that viewers immediately recognise.
