Lancer is a character from Toby Fox's Deltarune, a follow-up to Undertale, known for his playful, troublemaking personality and his friendship with Susie, Kris and Ralsei. Dig! Dig! To The Center of the Earth! is associated with his energetic, digging-themed moments in the game, and fans have turned short clips of it into a meme shorthand for Lancer showing up unexpectedly. The 'you got lancered' phrasing spread through Deltarune fan edits and soundboards, where the clip works as a quick, recognisable gag for viewers who know the character.

A short Deltarune clip with Lancer set to Toby Fox's Dig! Dig! music, used in funny memes when Lancer suddenly appears and takes over a scene.
This eight-second clip pairs Lancer, the mischievous spade prince from Deltarune, with a burst of Toby Fox's fast, bouncy Dig! Dig! To The Center of the Earth music. Bright chiptune melodies and a driving rhythm give it a chaotic, cartoonish energy, like a surprise guest crashing into a scene at full speed. It feels playful rather than threatening, even as it builds to a punchline, which is why it lands so well as a sudden entrance or reveal. Listeners instantly recognise the Deltarune style and expect something silly, over-the-top and very Lancer to follow.
