Short fart stings have circulated on soundboards for years as instant comedy punctuation, combining the familiar ba dum tss rimshot with a fart to signal a joke has landed badly. This version stays popular because it needs no context, works muted as a visual gag timing cue in edits, and pairs naturally with other classic effects like a plain fart or a longer fart meme sound. Creators reuse it in shorts, streams and group chats where a fast, recognisable fail sound is more effective than explaining the joke.
Über diesen Sound
Short ba dum tss style drum hit that ends in a quick pss fart noise, used as a comedic punchline and rimshot replacement in meme edits and reaction videos.
This is a very short comedy sting built from two parts, a quick ba dum drum hit followed immediately by a soft pss fart sound. The drum part gives it the timing of a classic rimshot after a joke, while the fart ending undercuts it and makes the moment feel deliberately silly rather than polished. At under a second long it lands fast, adds a crude punchline without any dialogue, and leaves the viewer with a clear sense that whatever just happened was a fail, a bad joke, or not to be taken seriously.
