Baldi comes from Baldi's Basics in Education and Learning, the 2018 indie horror parody of 90s educational games created by Mystman12. Its distorted teacher voice and low budget classroom style made it a lasting meme source. The roast template featuring Badsum circulated widely in 2024 as a reusable edit format, with creators swapping in their own targets before the insult. Short roast clips like this stay popular because they provide a ready made comeback that needs no setup and works even without the original game context.

A meme voice clip from a Baldi's Basics fan template where the teacher delivers a harsh roast to Badsum. Creators use it for comeback edits.
This clip captures Baldi in full roast mode, delivering a rapid, scolding takedown aimed at Badsum in the exaggerated teacher voice fans know from Baldi's Basics. The delivery is sharp, rhythmic and deliberately over the top, turning a simple insult into a comedic performance. It works because the contrast between a school lesson tone and a brutal personal roast feels absurd. Listeners instantly read it as a meme burn rather than a real argument, which makes the short exchange land as a punchline for edits, reactions and fake confrontations.
