Cerra el orto is a blunt Argentine Spanish expression used to tell someone to shut up, and this clip circulates online as a short reaction sound under the name Momo. It is shared widely in Spanish-speaking meme communities, group chats and short-form videos, where its exaggerated delivery makes a familiar insult work as a joke rather than a serious insult. Because the phrase is instantly recognisable to Argentine and Latin American audiences, creators keep reusing it to punctuate rants, arguments and overlong explanations with a sudden, funny shutdown.
Über diesen Sound
A loud Argentine Spanish shout telling someone to shut up, made famous as the Cerra el Orto Momo meme clip for reactions and jokes in chats and videos.
This is a short, loud Spanish-language shout delivered with exaggerated anger and comic timing, stretching the final vowel as the speaker yells at someone to stop talking. The voice is raw and unfiltered, rising in volume until it almost cracks, which makes the insult feel more like a punchline than a real argument. Played on its own it lands as a sudden, over-the-top interruption, instantly cutting through a conversation and turning an annoying comment into a joke. Listeners recognise the tone immediately, even without understanding every word, because the aggression is so theatrical that it reads as playful rather than threatening.
