Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas was released by Rockstar Games in 2004 and follows Carl Johnson returning home to Los Santos after his mother's death. Big Smoke, a close Grove Street associate, became one of the game's most quoted characters, and short clips of CJ's dialogue spread widely through gaming videos and meme edits. Fans often pair this greeting with other CJ lines like here go again, keeping San Andreas sounds in constant rotation decades after release because the delivery is so recognisable and easy to reuse.

CJ's surprised 'Ooooooh' greeting to Big Smoke from GTA San Andreas, used in memes and edits for reunions, reveals and nostalgic gaming moments.
This clip captures Carl Johnson, known as CJ, reacting with a drawn-out ooooooh when he reunites with Big Smoke in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. The line is stretched, warm and instantly recognisable, mixing surprise with genuine relief after CJ returns to Los Santos. It is not shouted or aggressive, it sounds like two old friends recognising each other at once. That stretched vowel is what makes it work as a reaction, turning a normal greeting into something funny, nostalgic and perfect for pausing on during a reveal or reunion moment.
