Gas Gas Gas is a Eurobeat song by Manuel that became closely associated with Initial D, the anime about street racing and drifting. Its fast tempo and repeated chorus made it a natural fit for edited clips of cars, races and frantic escapes, and it spread widely on YouTube, TikTok and soundboards as shorthand for going too fast. It remains popular because the opening is instantly recognisable, even to viewers who have never watched the anime, and it signals speed in just a few seconds.
Über diesen Sound
The high-energy Eurobeat chorus from Initial D that plays over fast driving, drifting and racing clips, used as a meme sound for moments of sudden speed.
This clip captures the driving Eurobeat hook of Gas Gas Gas, with fast synthesised melodies, a pounding dance beat and urgent, high-pitched vocals urging the listener to go faster. It sounds bright, frantic and relentlessly upbeat, like the soundtrack to a car already speeding past the camera. On screen it instantly raises the energy, turning an ordinary run, drive or chase into a comic race, and viewers tend to brace for something reckless, funny or over-the-top the moment the beat drops.
