Franklin Clinton is one of the main playable characters in Grand Theft Auto V, and his voice lines have long been reused as short reaction clips online. This four-second clip circulates under the title genetic experiment gone wrong, giving creators a ready-made punchline for lab mishaps and failed inventions without needing a longer scene. Its appeal comes from that recognisable GTA V character voice paired with a setup that fits almost any experiment-themed edit, from gaming montages to science memes, which is why it keeps appearing in short-form videos.
Über diesen Sound
The Franklin genetic experiment gone wrong sound from GTA V, a short clip creators drop over failed experiments, odd transformations and funny science scenes.
The clip is a short, four-second Franklin moment from GTA V built around a genetic experiment gone wrong. It opens with a straightforward setup before the tone shifts, giving editors a clear beat to cut on when a plan, potion or invention starts to go sideways. Franklin's delivery keeps it grounded in the game's streetwise humour, so the line feels like a reaction rather than a lecture, and that contrast is what makes it funny. Played over a failed build, a strange character change or a science project falling apart, it tells the viewer instantly that something was never going to work.
