The meow comes from Rain World, the atmospheric survival game where players control slugcats travelling through a harsh, rain-swept world. Gourmand is one of the playable slugcats, a large, round creature defined by its appetite and crafting, and its small vocal sounds have become a favourite detail among fans. Short clips like this one circulate in game edits, reaction videos and pet memes, where the tiny noise works as a cute stand-in for a real cat. Its appeal is simple: it is instantly recognisable to Rain World players and instantly charming to everyone else.
Über diesen Sound
A short Gourmand meow from Rain World, a tiny cat-like squeak from the hungry slugcat. Creators use it for cute reactions, pets and playful game clips.
The clip is a very brief, high-pitched meow made by Gourmand, the round, food-loving slugcat from Rain World. It lasts less than a second and sounds like a small, surprised cat chirp, soft at the start and rising slightly before it cuts off. The sound is instantly cute and a little absurd, especially coming from a creature built for eating rather than talking. In a video it reads as a tiny plea, a greeting or a startled reaction, and it makes a scene feel lighter and more playful without needing any words or explanation.
