The line comes from Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War, the 2004 real-time strategy game by Relic, where Imperial Guard infantry automatically announce contacts with specific factions. Eldar are the craftworld Aeldari, fast and elusive aliens who often strike from stealth, so the warning carried real tactical weight in play. Clips of faction callouts later spread through YouTube compilations and soundboards, where this enemy spotted alert became a shorthand for any sudden, unwelcome appearance by a superior foe.

Imperial Guard Guardsmen shout Eldar spotted in this Warhammer 40K Dawn of War voice line, used for enemy alerts and strategy game memes online.
This is a short Imperial Guard voice line from Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War, where a squad of Guardsmen spots Eldar forces and calls out the sighting. The delivery is urgent and panicked, with a strained military shout that rises over the battlefield noise, making the alien threat feel immediate even though the clip lasts only a few seconds. It captures the classic Dawn of War feeling of fragile human soldiers facing a faster, stranger enemy, and that mix of fear and discipline is what makes the line so recognizable and funny out of context.
