Wheatley is a personality core and major character in Portal 2, Valve's 2011 puzzle game, voiced by Stephen Merchant. His chatty, anxious delivery made him a fan favourite, and short lines like this hello became easy to reuse outside the game. The clip circulated on soundboards and in gaming edits, where a single familiar voice can signal humour, nostalgia, or a friendly opening. Because Portal 2 remains widely played and quoted, the greeting still works instantly for audiences who recognise the character.
Über diesen Sound
Wheatley from Portal 2 says a quick, cheerful hello in this short voice clip, perfect for greeting viewers or opening a funny gaming video or stream.
Wheatley, the talkative spherical robot from Portal 2, delivers a single bright hello in his unmistakable British voice, complete with the character's eager, slightly nervous energy. The clip lasts less than a second, so the greeting lands instantly and feels friendly rather than formal, like bumping into an excitable companion at the start of a level. Its clean, close vocal recording makes it easy to drop into edits without background noise getting in the way, and the familiar tone gives viewers an immediate wink if they know the game. Used sparingly, it sets a playful, welcoming mood before a joke, a reveal, or a new segment begins.
