Über diesen Sound

This clip is a young voice introducing himself as Trey and announcing he has a basketball game tomorrow, delivered in a flat, earnest tone over about six seconds. It feels awkwardly sincere and funny, like an overexplained introduction that sets up something going wrong. It spread online as a widely shared meme intro used in reaction edits.

Queue it before an awkward class presentation clip to set up the cringe

Profi-Tipp

Let the full introduction finish before your cut lands. The basketball game line is the payoff, so cutting early loses the awkward sincerity that makes the following fail or reaction actually read as a joke.

Gut zu wissen

Place this clip at the very start of your edit as the introduction, then follow the basketball line with a bruh sound effect when the fail hits. For a bigger collapse, layer in an emotional damage meme sound right after the bruh for the final beat.

FAQ

Can I save the Trey intro as an MP3 to play offline?

Yes, download the MP3 from this page and keep it in your phone's audio folder. It will play offline in most media apps, so you can trigger the introduction without reopening the browser or needing a connection.

What sound works best right after Trey's basketball game line?

A short bruh works best right after the basketball game line when your clip cuts to a fail. It keeps the intro sincere on its own, then lets the reaction carry the punchline without extra dialogue or music underneath.

Will viewers who never played basketball still get the Trey joke?

Yes, because the joke is the overly earnest self-introduction, not the sport itself. Anyone who has announced plans too seriously before a flop will recognise the setup, especially in school, sports, and group chat edits with friends.
