Madagascar is the 2005 DreamWorks Animation comedy directed by Eric Darnell and Tom McGrath, following four Central Park Zoo animals who wash up on the island of Madagascar. The film's cartoon voices became soundboard staples almost immediately, and this friendly greeting is one of its most reused bits. On meme pages and soundboards it circulates as a go-to hello drop, showing up in stream intros, reaction videos and prank calls years after release.

The playful 'hi there' greeting clip from DreamWorks' Madagascar (2005). A cheerful cartoon hello people use for stream intros, prank reveals and meme edits.
This clip is a bouncy little hello from DreamWorks' Madagascar, the 2005 animated hit about zoo animals stranded on an island. It opens with the cartoon voice calling out 'hi there' in a warm, upbeat tone, and the full exchange runs almost nineteen seconds, packed with the exaggerated, kid-friendly delivery the film is known for. It works so well as a soundboard drop because a greeting is instantly understood in any language and any context: the chipper energy grabs attention without demanding it, sets a friendly tone in the first second, and leaves viewers smiling before whatever comes next has even started.
