Fox McCloud, the Star Fox pilot, became a top tier fighter in Super Smash Bros Melee, released for GameCube in 2001. His vocal clips, recorded for his special moves and smash attacks, became instantly recognisable to competitive players who heard them hundreds of times per match. As Melee stayed alive in tournaments and online videos for decades, the Hiyah was clipped on its own for soundboards and edits. Its lasting use comes from that mix of nostalgia, competitive history, and a shout short enough to fit anywhere.
Über diesen Sound
Fox's sharp Hiyah shout from Super Smash Bros Melee, the vocal sound effect he makes during attacks, popular for gaming edits and reaction clips.
This is Fox McCloud's short, piercing battle cry from Super Smash Bros Melee, a tight one second shout delivered with real urgency. The voice snaps in fast, rises sharply on the Hiyah, and cuts off clean with no tail, which makes it feel like a strike landing rather than a line of dialogue. It carries all of Fox's cocky, high speed energy in a single burst. Dropped over gameplay or a sudden movement on screen, it instantly adds impact and makes even a small action feel fast, aggressive and a little over the top.
