This laugh comes from Nutty in Happy Tree Friends, the dark comedy animated series where cute woodland animals face sudden, violent accidents. Nutty is the green squirrel obsessed with candy, and his high, frantic laugh captures that sugar-fuelled excitement perfectly. Clips of the character have circulated for years on soundboards, video edits and reaction compilations, where the laugh is instantly recognisable even without any picture. It stays popular because it packs a whole character trait into a few seconds, making it a quick shorthand for greed, excitement and complete loss of control.

Nutty's manic laugh from Happy Tree Friends, a high-pitched, unhinged giggle perfect for chaotic edits, prank videos and funny reaction moments.
This clip captures Nutty, the candy-obsessed squirrel from Happy Tree Friends, breaking into a frantic, high-pitched laugh that quickly spirals out of control. The giggle is fast, squeaky and slightly breathless, with sudden bursts and a manic edge that makes it sound both delighted and completely unhinged. It works because the voice is cartoonish yet oddly intense, turning a simple moment of excitement into something chaotic and unsettling. Listeners instantly recognise the sugar-rush energy behind it, which is why the laugh lands so well as a punchline, a reaction to absurd news, or a cue that a character has lost all sense of restraint.
