Grand Dad became an internet meme as a bootleg-style parody of Mario, with his greeting riffing directly on the plumber's famous introduction. The character spread through YouTube Poop edits, remix videos and soundboards, where creators used his absurd name swap to signal a deliberately low-budget, off-brand joke. Fans kept sharing the greeting because it is instantly recognisable even without context, and it still works as a quick, nostalgic punchline for gaming and meme audiences today.

Grand Dad gives his Mario-style greeting in this short meme sound, a playful parody catchphrase often dropped into funny edits, streams and reaction videos.
This short clip captures Grand Dad delivering his famous greeting in a warm, cartoonish voice that instantly parodies Mario's classic introduction, swapping the plumber's name for the bootleg character's own. The delivery is upbeat and slightly goofy, with a friendly rising tone that makes it feel like a welcoming announcement rather than a serious line. Hearing it immediately signals a joke is coming, turning an ordinary intro, reveal or character entrance into something absurd and nostalgic for viewers who recognise the meme.
