Spooky Month is an animated web series created by Sr Pelo, first released in 2018, starring Skid and Pump, two costumed kids obsessed with Halloween. Their catchphrase celebrating spooky month spread from YouTube animations into memes, remixes and edits every October. The clip became a seasonal staple on social media, reused when the calendar turns, in Friday Night Funkin fan culture where the characters also appeared, and in Halloween posts. Its cheerful delivery keeps it popular as a wholesome alternative to jump scare sounds.

The 'It's a spooky month' sound effect from Sr Pelo's animated series with Skid and Pump, used to celebrate Halloween and the start of October every year.
This clip captures the excited announcement that it is a spooky month, delivered in a high pitched, cheerful childlike voice with exaggerated enthusiasm. The line is stretched and repeated with playful energy, backed by a brief upbeat Halloween mood that makes it feel festive rather than frightening. It instantly signals the start of October and all things spooky, which is why viewers recognise it immediately. The contrast between the cute delivery and the horror theme creates a funny, wholesome effect that works as a greeting, a punchline, or a seasonal wake up call.
