James Brown, the Godfather of Soul, was famous for his explosive screams, grunts and call outs that defined funk and soul performances. Short vocal bursts like this haaaaa have been sampled, remixed and reused for decades across hip hop, dance music and internet culture. Online, creators isolated the scream as a standalone reaction sound, spreading it through meme edits, soundboards and short videos where a larger than life vocal reaction is funnier than any sound effect.
Über diesen Sound
James Brown screaming haaaaa is a short vocal sound effect from the soul legend, used in memes and edits for sudden shock, hype, or a comedic scream.
This clip captures James Brown letting out a long, raw haaaaa scream, full of energy and soul. It is a pure vocal burst with no music underneath, rising in intensity and cutting off abruptly after just under three seconds. The sound feels both celebratory and unhinged, which is why editors love it for exaggerating a reaction. It can turn a normal moment into a dramatic outburst, signal pure excitement, or act as a funny shock reaction when something unexpected happens on screen.
