Grand Dad comes from 7 Grand Dad, a bootleg version of a Flintstones platform game reskinned with a strange Mario like character on its title screen. Vinesauce streamer Joel played the game while exploring bootleg Mario titles, and his confused reaction helped turn the image into a running joke. The clip spread through Vinesauce highlights, remixes, and later SiIvaGunner rips that used the Flintstones theme as a recurring gag. Years later creators still reuse Joel's short exclamation whenever a knockoff game or unexpected crossover appears on screen.

Joel shouting Grand Dad from the Vinesauce bootleg Mario stream, the confused Flintstones reaction that became a classic meme sound effect clip.
This short clip captures streamer Joel from Vinesauce blurting out Grand Dad in total confusion during a bootleg Mario game. The voice cracks with disbelief as the Flintstones themed title screen appears, turning a cheap knockoff character into an instant punchline. It lasts barely a second, which makes the bewildered delivery land even harder. Viewers hear pure surprise rather than a planned joke, and that raw reaction is why the sound works as a quick insert for weird reveals, fake sequels, and cursed game moments.
