Kenshi is a blind swordsman from the Mortal Kombat series, and this scream comes from Mortal Kombat X, the 2015 fighting game where he fights with a telekinetic sword. Short vocal clips from fighting games spread widely on soundboards because they are instantly recognisable and easy to drop into edits without context. This one endures because the raw, pained delivery works far beyond Mortal Kombat itself, giving gaming videos, reaction clips and memes a quick burst of dramatic intensity.

Kenshi's scream from Mortal Kombat X, a sharp battle cry from the blind swordsman in combat. Creators use it for dramatic reactions and gaming edits.
Kenshi's scream is a raw, high-pitched battle cry ripped straight from a Mortal Kombat X fight, lasting just a few seconds but landing with full force. It starts abruptly, rises into a strained, desperate yell and cuts off before it can settle, which makes it feel urgent and painful rather than theatrical. The blind swordsman's voice carries both anger and exertion, as if he has just taken a heavy hit or unleashed a final attack. In an edit, that sudden intensity grabs attention instantly, turning an ordinary fail, surprise or defeat into something far more dramatic and over the top.
