Baldi's Basics in Education and Learning was released in 2018 as a free indie horror game parodying 1990s educational software. Baldi, the tall teacher who chases the player through the schoolhouse, praises subjects like math during his lessons before turning hostile after wrong notebook answers. The game's intentionally crude graphics and distorted voice acting helped clips spread quickly through YouTube, Twitch and meme edits. This line remains popular because it captures Baldi's fake cheerfulness in one short quote that works for any classroom or gaming joke.

Baldi says math is his favourite subject in this short voice line from the 2018 horror game. Creators use it for school jokes, wrong answers and gaming edits.
This is Baldi enthusiastically declaring that math is his favourite subject, delivered in his flat, slightly robotic teacher voice. The line is cheerful on the surface but feels unsettling because of Baldi's distorted tone and the game's low budget horror atmosphere. It lasts just a few seconds, long enough to land as a punchline without overstaying its welcome. Viewers instantly recognise the creepy classroom energy, which makes even a simple school reference feel tense and funny at the same time, especially when paired with a wrong answer moment.
