'Murder in My Mind' is a dark phonk track by Kordhell that blew up in 2022 through gym edits, villain compilations and TikTok montages built on its distorted bass and eerie vocal sample. As the sound went mainstream, parody versions followed, including deliberately low-effort 'off brand' remakes that swap menace for comedy. This clip belongs to that wave: a knockoff sting that creators use the way they use short dramatic stingers like Drama, signalling doom while winking at the audience. It endures because the reference is instantly recognisable even in bootleg form.
Über diesen Sound
A knockoff take on the dark phonk hook from 'Murder in My Mind', with heavy distorted bass. Creators use it for ironic villain entrances and cursed meme edits.
The clip is a deliberately cheap-sounding, off-brand take on the menacing phonk riff made famous by Kordhell's 'Murder in My Mind'. Over four and a half seconds you get a wobbling, low-fidelity bassline, a thin imitation of the original's dark melody and a general dollar-store menace that lands funnier than the real thing. It hits like a bootleg action-movie sting: recognisable enough to trigger the reference, wrong enough to be the joke. Viewers familiar with phonk edits get the parody instantly, while everyone else just feels the ominous, meme-soaked energy.
