Old Gregg is a character from the British surreal comedy series The Mighty Boosh, played by Noel Fielding, whose strange underwater hermit became a cult favourite for his flamboyant mannerisms and odd dialogue. Short clips of the character have circulated for years on soundboards, video edits and social media, where fans reuse his most quotable lines as reactions. The mother licker line endures because it is instantly recognisable to Boosh fans, yet strange enough to work even for viewers who have never seen the show.

Old Gregg's mother licker line from The Mighty Boosh is a short cult comedy quote used as a reaction sound in memes and edits for awkward, absurd moments.
This is a very short spoken clip of Old Gregg, the eccentric merman from The Mighty Boosh, delivering the phrase mother licker in his distinctive, flamboyant voice. The delivery is sharp, slightly slurred and deliberately strange, so the insult sounds more surreal than aggressive. At under a second long, it hits instantly and leaves no room for context, which is exactly why it works as a punchline. Dropping it after an awkward reveal or a bizarre statement makes the moment feel weirder, funnier and unmistakably Boosh-like, turning a throwaway line into an instant reaction.
