Ralf Jones first appeared as part of the Ikari Warriors team in SNK fighting games, and Galacta Phantom became one of his signature super moves in The King of Fighters '97, released for arcades and Neo Geo in 1997. The move has him charge forward with a series of explosive punches, and the accompanying voice line became closely linked to that attack in later King of Fighters entries and fan videos. Retro fighting game communities kept the clip alive through montages, streams and soundboards, where its short, aggressive delivery still signals an unstoppable rush attack.
Über diesen Sound
Ralf Jones shouts his Galacta Phantom attack from The King of Fighters '97, a short punchy fighting game voice clip used for hype moments and combo edits.
The clip captures Ralf Jones unleashing his Galacta Phantom in The King of Fighters '97, a rapid burst of grunts, a shouted attack name and a heavy impact that lands in just over four seconds. His voice is rough, urgent and military, matching the Ikari Warriors soldier as he charges forward with explosive force. The sound feels sudden and powerful, cutting through a video with a clear fighting game punch. Listeners instantly recognise the arcade intensity, even without seeing the screen, and the short length makes the aggression feel concentrated rather than drawn out, which is why it works so well as a sudden hype hit.
