Carlos Alberto Nóbrega is a Brazilian comedian and television presenter best known for hosting A Praça É Nossa, one of Brazil's longest-running comedy programmes on SBT. His warm, instantly recognisable laugh became a signature part of his on-screen persona, often heard after a joke from the show's cast of characters. As clips from the programme circulated on social media and messaging apps, Brazilian creators began lifting the laugh as a standalone reaction sound. It remains popular because it carries instant cultural recognition for Brazilian audiences and works as a friendly, non-verbal way to say a joke landed.
Über diesen Sound
The distinctive laugh of Brazilian TV host Carlos Alberto Nóbrega, from A Praça É Nossa, used in memes and edits to react to a joke or awkward moment.
This is a short, hearty burst of laughter from Carlos Alberto Nóbrega, the longtime host of the Brazilian comedy show A Praça É Nossa. It is warm and slightly wheezy, rising quickly before breaking into a full chuckle, with the kind of infectious timing only a veteran TV presenter delivers. Because listeners instantly recognise it as the laugh of a beloved Brazilian television figure, dropping it into a clip makes a joke feel shared rather than forced. It softens an awkward moment, underlines a punchline, and tells the audience that the funny part has landed without needing any words at all.
