Rules of Nature is a track from Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, released in 2013, composed for Raiden's battle against a Metal Gear RAY. Performed by Jamie Christopherson with vocals by John Bush, the song became famous for how its lyrics sync to on-screen action. Clips of the shouted chorus spread through YouTube, Twitch and meme edits in the late 2010s and early 2020s, where editors use the rules of nature memes format to turn ordinary confrontations, animal fights and sports plays into mock boss battles that still circulate today.

Rules of Nature is the shouted Metal Gear Revengeance meme from Raiden's fight theme, used in gaming edits, rage clips and sudden battle moments.
This is the explosive opening vocal from Rules of Nature, where the singer screams the title over pounding metal guitars and drums. The delivery is raw, strained and aggressive, hitting just as the tempo kicks in and the riff drops. It lasts only a few seconds but feels like a battle cry, instantly raising the energy of whatever it is laid over. Viewers hear it as both serious and over the top, which is why the contrast works so well when a calm clip suddenly turns intense, competitive or completely unhinged in an edit.
