The sound comes from the built in notification tones found on Alcatel mobile phones, where it is listed as a shimmer style alert. Its clear, high pitched ring stood out from harsher default ringtones, so users began recording and sharing it online as a standalone clip. It spread through soundboards and short video edits as a generic message arrival and achievement sound, and it remains popular because it is instantly recognisable, copyright light in feel, and short enough to drop into almost any edit without overwhelming other audio.
Über diesen Sound
Clear shimmer notification sound from an Alcatel phone, a bright three second chime used for alerts, message pop ups and clean transition moments in videos.
This is a short, sparkling notification chime with a clear, glassy shimmer that rises and fades over about three seconds. The tone is light and airy rather than harsh, with a polished digital ring that feels clean and satisfying to hear. It mimics the kind of alert you expect when a message arrives or a task completes successfully. Because it is so bright and uncluttered, it instantly signals something new and positive without startling the listener, making it feel like a small reward or a neat finishing touch.
