Skeledirge debuted in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet in 2022 as the Generation IX evolution of the starter Fuecoco, evolving from Crocalor. Like every Pokémon, it has a distinct synthesized cry played when it enters battle, levels up, or appears in the Pokédex, and players quickly clipped the sound to share outside the games. Its unusually deep, crocodile-like roar made it stand out among starter cries, so fans reuse it in edits, soundboards, and battle recreations as a shorthand for the character itself.
Über diesen Sound
Skeledirge's cry from Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, a deep, roaring call from the Fire and Ghost type final evolution of Fuecoco used in battle clips.
This is the in-game cry of Skeledirge, the Singer Pokémon introduced as the final evolution of Fuecoco. It lasts just over two seconds and blends a low, crocodilian growl with a raspy, almost singing roar, fitting a Fire and Ghost type that attacks by belting out flames. The sound starts deep and guttural, then rises with a rough, vibrating edge that feels both powerful and unsettling. In videos it works as an instant creature reveal, giving a simple edit the weight of a boss entering battle without needing any dialogue or music underneath it.
