The sound comes from Down Your Throat, a Team Fortress 2 fan animation by creator Eltorro64Rus, known for short, absurd TF2 comedy videos on YouTube. Clips from those animations are frequently ripped and reused as standalone reactions on soundboards, where the Soldier's over-the-top delivery became a reusable gag. It sits alongside other crude staples like the wet fart in meme editing, but this version is tied specifically to the Soldier character. Its longer duration and clear source scene have helped it stay in circulation among TF2 and gaming meme communities.

TF2 Soldier fart sound from the Eltorro64Rus animation Down Your Throat, a loud gassy blast used for crude comedy edits and gaming meme videos.
This clip pairs the Team Fortress 2 Soldier's gruff, all-American delivery with an unexpectedly long and loud fart that completely undercuts his tough military persona. The humor comes from the contrast between his serious, shouting style and the crude, drawn-out sound effect that follows, lasting several seconds longer than a quick gag would. It plays like a classic TF2 Garry's Mod or Source Filmmaker joke, where a heroic character is reduced to a silly punchline. Viewers instantly get the joke without any setup, which makes it easy to drop into edits for an instant, childish laugh.
