Amy Rose is a long-running character in the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise, known for chasing Sonic and calling after him when he rushes off on an adventure. That running joke is why this frustrated call resonates with fans, even as a standalone audio clip separated from its original scene. Online, it has circulated on soundboards as a reaction sound for being ignored or left waiting, rather than as a piece of music or a full scene. Its appeal is simple: the stretched name instantly signals impatience, making it easy to reuse across gaming edits, memes, and short videos.

Amy Rose calls out Sonic's name in frustration in this voice clip from the series, often used in edits to show exasperation when someone ignores you.
This is a short, frustrated voice clip of Amy Rose calling out Sonic's name, stretching the syllables as her patience runs out. Her voice rises with irritation and disbelief, turning a simple name into a demand for attention that feels instantly familiar to Sonic fans. The drawn-out delivery makes it funnier than a normal shout, because it captures that moment of chasing someone who has already run off or stopped listening. Listeners recognise the exasperation immediately, even without seeing the scene, and the clip works as a punchy reaction to being ignored, delayed, or left behind.
