Talking Ben comes from Outfit7's Talking Ben app, part of the Talking Tom and Friends franchise that launched in the early 2010s, where players could call Ben and hear his grumpy yes, no and other short replies. The sound stayed niche until streamer IShowSpeed began calling Ben live in 2022, turning his blunt answers into viral clips. That run revived interest in the talking ben say yes sound and made it a staple reaction for streams, edits and soundboards.
Über diesen Sound
Talking Ben saying yes in his deep gruff voice from the Outfit7 mobile app, used as a deadpan funny affirmative reaction in streams and meme edits.
The clip is Talking Ben's short, deadpan yes, delivered in a low, slightly raspy baritone with almost no enthusiasm. It lasts under two seconds and lands like a reluctant agreement rather than a cheerful one, which is exactly why it feels funny. Ben, the retired chemistry professor dog from the Talking Ben app, usually answers the phone with bored, monosyllabic replies, and this yes captures that personality perfectly. Played over a question or a bad idea, it makes the answer sound both certain and completely unimpressed, turning a simple confirmation into a punchline.
