TRoD stands for The Rebirth of Darkness, and this clip is listed as an alternative take on the jumpscare sound from its first entry. Shared on soundboards with FNAF tags, it circulates among fans of indie horror and Five Nights at Freddy's inspired games, where a single loud scream marks a failed night or sudden attack. Its function is close to a classic FNAF Jumpscare Scream, which is why editors borrow it for fan videos, horror memes and reaction edits long after the original scene.
Über diesen Sound
Alternative jumpscare sound from TRoD 1, The Rebirth of Darkness, a loud FNAF style scream used for sudden scares, horror edits and prank videos.
This alternative version of the TRoD 1 jumpscare is a short, sharp horror sting built to startle instantly. A loud scream-like burst hits without warning, cutting through silence in just over three seconds. Unlike a slow build-up, it delivers the scare all at once, making the moment feel abrupt and inescapable. Players and viewers recognise it as the payoff to tension in The Rebirth of Darkness, and editors reuse that shock outside the game. Played at full volume, it jolts attention, breaks a calm scene, and leaves a lingering sense of panic after it ends.
