Weathering with You is a 2019 Japanese animated film directed by Makoto Shinkai, following Hodaka, a runaway teenager in Tokyo, and Hina, a girl who can change the weather. Its score by RADWIMPS helped the film become a worldwide anime favourite, and short clips from it soon spread through fan edits, AMVs and social video. Creators return to it because the music instantly signals rain, romance and emotional release, making it a shorthand for bittersweet anime moments even for viewers who have not seen the full film.
Über diesen Sound
A short audio clip from Weathering with You, Makoto Shinkai's 2019 anime film, used in edits and AMVs to add a wistful, rain-soaked emotional moment.
This clip carries the sweeping, emotional tone of Weathering with You, pairing gentle piano and swelling strings with a sense of rain, longing and quiet hope. It builds slowly rather than hitting suddenly, letting a scene breathe before the feeling peaks, then fades with a soft, bittersweet resolve. Listeners often recognise the film's romantic atmosphere instantly, even without dialogue, because the music feels like a summer storm clearing. Used over a visual, it turns an ordinary moment into something tender and cinematic, adding weight without overpowering the images on screen.
