The line comes from Steven Universe, the Cartoon Network animated series created by Rebecca Sugar that premiered in 2013. Peridot, a logical and initially hostile Gem from Homeworld voiced by Shelby Rabara, uses clod as her go-to insult for anyone she considers inferior or incompetent. As clips of her outbursts circulated in fandom edits and reaction posts, You Clods became her most quoted catchphrase. It remains popular because it is family friendly, instantly recognisable to fans, and expressive enough to work as a standalone reaction outside the show.
Über diesen Sound
Peridot shouting You Clods from Steven Universe, the alien gem's frustrated insult used as a reaction sound for annoyed, superior outbursts online.
This is Peridot's signature insult from Steven Universe, delivered as a loud, indignant shout of You Clods. Her voice cracks with frustration and smug superiority, turning a strange alien word into an instantly clear put-down. The line is very short and sharply projected, so it lands like a cartoon scolding rather than real anger. For viewers familiar with the show it captures Peridot at her most exasperated with humans, while for everyone else the tone alone communicates disbelief and contempt, making the clip feel funny, dramatic and oddly quotable even out of context.
