Homestar Runner is a long-running animated web series created by Mike and Matt Chapman, centred on the cheerful, dim-witted title character and his friends, including Marzipan and the small yellow creature The Cheat. The line became a favourite soundboard clip because the gulp turns a simple question into an awkward, self-aware joke that fans can quote out of context. It continues to circulate among Homestar Runner fans and meme editors who use short, recognisable voice lines to punctuate reaction videos, thirst jokes, and nostalgic cartoon compilations.

Homestar Runner asks Marzipan if she wants The Cheat's bod, with a nervous gulp, in this clip used for awkward flirting and thirst jokes in memes.
Homestar Runner delivers the line in his cheerful, slightly dopey voice, pausing for a loud, awkward gulp before asking Marzipan whether she wants The Cheat's bod. The joke lands in the contrast between his innocent delivery and the sudden, thirsty question, making the short clip feel both wholesome and strangely suggestive at once. Listeners hear the gulp as a nervous tell, as if Homestar is embarrassed by his own question, which gives editors a ready-made reaction for cringe flirting, jealousy, or a character suddenly noticing someone attractive. It is brief, instantly recognisable to Homestar fans, and funny even without the original cartoon context.
