The sound takes its name from Raquel, a character associated with Barbie, and it has circulated online as a short reaction meme rather than as a standalone song or scene people quote in full. Searchers often type the name with different spellings, including raquelle, which has helped the clip keep appearing in edits and compilations. Its appeal is simple: the line is short, instantly readable as disbelief, and easy to reuse whenever a creator wants a familiar voice to question something absurd.
Über diesen Sound
A Barbie meme clip where a voice says you're joking to Raquel, used by creators to react to unbelievable news, plot twists, and surprising reveals in videos.
This short clip captures a light, incredulous voice saying you're joking to Raquel, with the emphasis landing on the disbelief rather than anger or shock. The delivery is playful and slightly teasing, almost like catching a friend mid-exaggeration, which makes it easy to drop over a reaction shot without overpowering the scene. Listeners instantly recognise the tone as a sarcastic check on something too absurd to be true, so it works as a quick punchline that lets the visual do the rest. It feels familiar, quotable, and perfectly sized for memes, edits, and short reaction videos.
