Asdfmovie is TomSka's long-running series of short, absurd animated sketches on YouTube, built around rapid jokes, deadpan delivery and exaggerated cartoon reactions. The Nooo scream fits that style perfectly, turning a small setback into an over-the-top moment of despair in just under two seconds. Because the sound is so short and instantly recognisable, it has been reused across meme edits, gaming clips and reaction videos as a quick shorthand for failure. Its simplicity is why it still works: one drawn-out word says the whole joke.
Sobre este sonido
The drawn-out Nooo scream from Asdfmovie 15, a TomSka animated sketch, used to react to sudden failure, bad news or a joke going wrong in memes and edits.
The clip is a single, exaggerated cartoon scream that stretches the word no into a long, wailing Nooo, rising in pitch before collapsing into comic despair. It lasts under two seconds, so it lands instantly and cuts cleanly into a reaction shot, a failed attempt or a sudden reveal. The voice is deliberately overacted, somewhere between a cartoon character in trouble and a friend watching a plan fall apart, which makes the failure feel bigger and funnier rather than serious. Played at full volume, it turns a small mistake into a dramatic defeat and gives viewers an immediate cue to laugh at the disaster.
