Hora do show, porra is a piece of Brazilian Portuguese internet slang that works as a shouted call to start the performance, with porra adding a rough, humorous punch. It circulates mainly as a short reaction clip in memes, livestreams and edited videos, where creators use it to mark the moment the show begins or a bold stunt is about to happen. Its appeal comes from its brevity and attitude: even listeners who do not speak Portuguese recognise the hype, timing and playful aggression, which helps it travel across different kinds of short-form content.
Sobre este sonido
A short Brazilian Portuguese shout of Hora do show, porra, used as a hype sound effect before a reveal, performance or big moment in memes and short videos.
This is a loud, punchy Portuguese exclamation delivered like a ring announcer hyping a crowd, with the final word hit hard for comic emphasis. It lasts just under two seconds, so it lands instantly and cuts straight to the action without any buildup. The voice sounds energetic, irreverent and a little chaotic, which makes it feel like a friend shouting over the noise just before something wild happens. In a video it works as a sudden jolt of confidence, turning an ordinary entrance, reveal or fail into a moment that feels staged for an audience.
