Mingle is one of the games featured in the second season of Squid Game, the Netflix survival drama that returned in December 2024. In the game, players move around a central carousel while music plays, then must quickly form a group matching the number announced. The sequence became widely shared online because its cheerful music clashed sharply with the life-or-death stakes, and short clips of the tune were reused in edits, reaction videos and memes long after the season aired.

The playful Mingle music from Squid Game season 2, heard as players dance around the carousel before scrambling to form groups of the called number.
This nine-second clip captures the bright, carousel-style music from the Mingle game in Squid Game season 2. It has a light, bouncy rhythm that feels almost cheerful, which makes it work so well as a meme sound because the game itself is tense and high stakes. As the tune plays, listeners instantly picture players circling the room, laughing and dancing, then suddenly rushing to grab partners when a number is shouted. That contrast between the innocent melody and the panic underneath gives edits an instant jolt of comedy and suspense, especially when it cuts off just as a group forms or fails to form.
