Vector is the orange tracksuit villain in Despicable Me, released in 2010, whose high tech gadgets include the piranha gun, squid launcher and fart gun. The piranha gun became one of his most quoted visual gags because it fires live fish instead of bullets. Clips of Vector and his weapons circulated widely on YouTube and meme pages, and this short firing effect was later isolated for soundboards and edits. It remains popular alongside other cartoon weapon sounds like the reload gun effect used in gaming videos.
Sobre este sonido
Vector's piranha gun sound from Despicable Me, the short cartoon weapon blast creators use for funny villain reveals and meme edits and gaming clips.
This is the distinctive firing sound of Vector's piranha gun from Despicable Me, a brief cartoon blast lasting about three seconds. Instead of a realistic gunshot, it mixes a mechanical launch with a splashy, fishy chomp that matches the absurd weapon on screen. The joke lands because the sound is instantly over the top for such a small projectile, turning a villain moment into pure slapstick. Editors love the timing of the build and release, which makes a reveal, a failed plan, or a silly attack feel bigger and funnier without any dialogue needed to explain it.
